Icon5 Grille Swap

Would it be possible to swap out the grille on a 2000 Ford Ranger and replace it with a 2001+ Honeycomb style grille? I like the looks of the honeycomb grill more than the older style.

I'm new to the forum btw, so i'm sorry if this has already been asked.

Yes, if you swap the headlights and turn signals and header panel, but then after you do that, you'll want to swap the hood and the bumper and valance.

hahahaha that's kinda funny.

So with the grille swap, new lights/blinkers, bumper, and valance, I wouldn't need to swap fenders right?

You can keep the fenders on a 2000. Why not just get a '01-03 Edge?

I would, but no one frickin sells them where I live. It's also due to the fact that I'm 17 and just sold my escape for $4000. Need my parents to help me with the loan (they dont want it to be more than $2500), so I have a limit if $6500......I found one '04 Ranger Edge for that much but it had 179k on it, where as the 2000 has 104k.

I've read the bumper from 98's will fit clear up to 09 Rangers.

I figured its just gonna be easier to have the grille and bumper painted to color match, won't look as nice as the newer grilles, but nicer than the stock look

leave the chrome bumper. in my opinion, color matched bumpers with the 99-00 look like *** lol then u have to also color match the grey flares, valence, rear bumper to give it the "Edge" look. I like edges though just cuz the honeycomb grille. actually, black bumper on a 99-00 looks good haha
