In the how to section there should be a thread on it. As for adjusting it up and down just grab and screw driver and you will see a screw attached to the headlight on the top. Screw it up or down to tilt it. Then for left and right adjustment you need to pop your headlight put by pulling up those two black prongs and the headlight will come out, you will then ssee three bot adjustments on the back of the headlight. I'm not going to go in detail
But turning those will result in slight adjustments.

yes, there are three studs that stick out the back of the header panel. two of them are adjusters. one does up and down, the other side to side.

what is the point of the top left bolt there is nothing to put a wrench on or anything and it doesnt seem like you can get a phillips screwdriver on the front side. Ive tried adjusting the other 2 bolts however the beam pattern hasnt changed but the way the housing sits has im baffled how to fix the beam pattern right now they are aimed too low.

On the 94-

If you look down at the bolts, the lowest one on the right (or left depends on what side your working on) that is the one that adjusts the up and down portion of the aiming process. I just did this with mine about 20 minuets ago, as far as the others go either the socket or a phillips works. If you can't access the phillips portion of the screws the grill and marker light are in the way and need to be removed. Its better to do this at night with the lights pointed at a wall, I have mine adjusted so the low beams hit right at my hip (I'm about 6"1 height may vary). I hope this is helpful! :)

UP AND DOWN HEADLIGHT ADJUSTER ON THE RANGER IS A TOP BOLT LOOKS LIKE AN ALLEN, STICKING UP AT THE OUTER END OF THE HEADLIGHTS TOWARD THE FENDER ON BOTH LIGHTS,, I USE A 5/32 SOCKET 1/4 INCH DRIVE, LUBRICATE THEM FIRST THEN TURN IT CLOCKWISE OR COUNTER CLOCKWISE AND WATCH THE BEAM OR HEADLIGHT ITSELF RISE OR FALL FOR HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT 2002 RANGER, HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.

From: Zephyrhills Fl,
I took my 97 Ranger to a Ford dealer for a head light adjustment and was told the adjusting screws were stripped and could not be replaced because they are no longer available . Are there after market kits? available or do I need to replace the whole assembly with a different year and what years will also fit??

headlights

Who stripped them, try a ford dealer, or a good parts man for parts, try lube and soak, or heat, if easier remove the bucket to work on it, maybe that would be easier, good luck

Ranger headlight adjustment

They make a special ratchet wrench about 8 inches along with a little bitty ratchet on the end and it just fits over the three mounting studs. you can reach down in there where is it is and adjust your headlights however they’re probably stuck don’t try to use heat for They are in rubber mounts you’re just going to melt everything catch one of the tool trucks snap on Mac whatever and they will have that adjusting tool. its about $15 and fits all Fords. You’re just kidding yourself without it you may have to pull your headlights out you’ll see the little black plastic adjusters on the studs lube up bro good turn them back-and-forth get it loosened up then use your tool that you bought from the snap on truck that’s the way you do it...
