HID Questions

hey guys I already used the search button but it did not answer my questions haha, i have money in hand wanting to get some HID's, but i have no idea where to get them, or what to get, can someone please guide me in the right direction? Thanks a ton. PS If there is a site i can get them from that would be better, im not a fan of buying on ebay

I guess i like the 8000 like dubs? is there any advantage or drawback to higher numbers? Where is a good site to buy these things?

that sounds fine... 8000K is the color temperature, which gives you your color...

oh alright thank you, any recommended sites? I want a plug and play setup if possible.

I know you said you didnt like ebay, but alot of ebay stores have exactly what you are looking for

if I were you, I would look into the HID's that have low and hi beam...they are a little more expensive...but then you can use them in low and high. Personally I prefer 6000K...looks less ricey. And yeah 9007 is what you would need.

oh my bad, I know 01 and up use's 9007, I wasn't thinking about what year ranger he had

it might be different...just look at your bulb now, it says its # on the side of the bulb

i have the 8000k and the more blue u get and purple the less it sticks on the road in bad conditions the color just gets sucked into the pavement.

the 8000k have a little blue in them but look white when u are driving but on comming cars will see blue thats why i like and its not to blue to get in toruble with and still works awesome in bad weather.

here is a pic of the color but it looks better and bluer then in pic if ur in the distance.

mcculloh kits are very nice. Im looking at one for my regular low beams. i wish the ones in my projector were a lil brighter. but you can see a pic in my ava. ive got 8k's, ive got many more pics if ya want.

thats because thats what there intended for. you can tell almost everytime if the HID bulb is in a factory housing or projetor by watching the color of the light. in a projector, it will become white the closer you get to the vehicle, and become less "blinding". in a factory housing, the light never changes, and will become very irratating to oncoming drivers.

i saw case and point tonight, wish i had my cam. saw a freakin blue ball of light coming from miles away, never changed. it got up closer, and saw it was a huge truck. got closing to crossing paths, and i had to pull to the side a lil and squint, as the freakin superduty was decked out with the usual "pimp " accessories.
