How-To for Bumper / Valence removal and installation

After doing a few searches....no luck.

My next mod is going to require that I remove my valence and front bumper. But I'm not going to attempt it until I figure out how to do it properly.

Anyone?

I did it when I swapped my bumper for a chrome one.

Basically I just got under there and started taking off bolts. There is a crap load of em...can't remember how many exactly.

Just go to town...while your taking off the bolts you'll see how it all connects together and how to get it off and then back on.

The bumper has four bolts and the valance has nine holding it to the bumper, if I remember right. Just look under there, it's pretty self-explanatory.

I didn't need the PB Blaster either, just got under there with a breaker bar and socket, took it right off. Once you get the four bolts out of the bumper you will see how the valence attaches.

if its not too late, leave the bumper and valence together and take the whole thing off with just 4 bolts, makes pulling the two apart later easier

If you remove the valance seperately there is 4 snaps on each side of the bumper(they are easy to reamove, just push out). It take 10-15 mins. to remove the Valance at the most. Make sure you unplug the fog lights.

Valence was removed seperately, the bumper was nasty to come off....couple of bolts in tight spots to get at.

Looked good though....can't wait to get my stuff to install the new mods...hehehe
