When the 06 models came out, i hated the tailgates and that huge **** Ford emblem, now i have to say its one of the favorite things on my truck-Love the way it looks

ditto i hated it too, there was a time i was gonna shave off the huge emblem. but it grows on ya.

I actually acetoned the black lettering, masked the letters, then color-matched them. Leaving an inverse of stock. aka...oreo. lol. They're now Deep Wedgewood Blue with Chrome lettering. Thanks for the link, read most of it. Just ordered 3 of the newer ranger emblems, just gotta find a big oval. Im gonna do a true oreo with black

Here is how I did mine.

I wanted the Ranger emblem on the right side so I got a sport trac 4x4 emblem for the pass side. I used Vista's measurements. Thanks Vista.

There aren't any holes behind the Ford emblem. I'm not sure about the Ranger one.

Oh .... Believe me... There's holes there. There wouldn't be alignment studs on the back of replacement emblems and well...

Same with the little ovals on 95+ Ranger tailgates too.

As well as the Ranger badge too.

The only ones that didn't have any holes are 93-94 Ranger and 93+ B-series.

I got the sport trac emblem at the dealer, I think it was off an 06 or so. I know only the newer ones have it. My friend is the head parts guy at the Ford dealership so I got it at cost. I think it ran me like $12.

What ever helps people out is ok with me. The sport trac emblem part number is 7A2Z-7842528-D. List price was 23.33, man am I glad I have a friend at the Dealership.
