How do I remove the smaller convex mirrors from side mirrors?
Just curious as to how that is done. I have one that has water damage and is unusable. Personally would like to see them off permanently.
Thanks!
Thanks!
If they're the aftermarket things with foam tape on the back -- you can "saw" through the foam tape with strong dental floss then work at removing the tape reminants... (solvent like brake-cleaner, WD40, etc).
A little heat (head-gun, lamp, hair dryer, etc) can help to soften the adhesive & foam to get things going for ya...
Be careful of the mirror's surface, they damage pretty easily. FWIW, I use a teflon dental floss for stuff like this.
