convex mirrors

i've seen some ford vehicles (newer 2010, 2011) that have a built in convex mirror. it also moves when you move the flat mirror.

has anyone seen one on the new rangers?

The 06 mirrors I got have a slight convex on the passenger's side. I can see the ditch about 5 feet back from my truck when I'm driving along. Its not big, but its definitely there.

no, this is a small section that is set aside for convex that moves in relation to the flat one when you move it.

they call it like blindspot elimination or something like that, its a gimmick more then anything, if your mirrors are properly set you shouldnt have blindspots.

although i do hate ford for cutting off the inside bottom corners on the 06+ mirrors makes honda-teching into parking spots a pain in the d!ck when it shouldnt be.
