how much room is inside of our side mirrors...

ive seen the mirror mounted turn signals but dont like that they stick out of the mirros.. our taraus has puddle lights in them that are flush mounted and i want to either get some from a junkyard or find something comprable to make into turn signals or puddle lights...

anyone have any idea about the room? theyre manual mirros on a 99, not the flag mirrors...
