I was wondering how rare this is because mine is the only ranger i have seen with this color.

1997 XLT Portofino Metallic, Paint code: XC.

mine was that color, it also has royal blue interior.

 

Oh, very nice, mine has just standard grey int.
Makes me feel unique amongst the mass of Red/black/blue cars on the road.

 

I got that pic off of one for sale and it was listed with the same color you said. Doesn't look anything like that though.

I've seen trucks and Explorers that color, but I don't really care for it. Don't see 'em to often.

 

i think there's a reason that ford doesn't have that color anymore... the demand for it wasn't well, in demand.

 

had a friend in HS that had one that color...

 

I dig it. two others really rare colors come to mind.....that burnt orange/copper and that brightforestgreen or whatever.

the color looks good i have also only seen that color on exploders here.

 

That's way rare to me. I've never seen that color on a ranger let alone any other car.

 

Haha my family had a taurus that color. Looks kinda purplish in the right light.

 

I think you mean the john deere green rangers, (98-00) that color was wierd...

actually that bright green you speak of jalapeno green was only made in 99, and I dont know what your smoking but that color is awesome.



and I also had a kid in my caprentry class who has a 97 reg cab 2.3 5speed 6ft bed in that color, its not a bad color from a distance but once you get close its kind of ugly. Old mans color for sure they also had it in 98 except it was called denim blue.

 

I have that color. I have only ever seen 2 trucks that color. Daniels up above more on this post and 1 other around my area.

 

ive seen two or three in my area, not very common.
i would love to get my truck repainted that way, but if im paying for it, its going to be one of three colors, black, sonic blue(midnight blue) orrr dark shadow gray.

 

I like that color a lot! It does need an accent of some sort though. A navy blue or bright blue pinstripe or two tone would make it POP.

I can see why ford doesn't use it anymore. People love flashy colors now and that is anything but. O well

 

My friend has a '98 in that color...
