Think that would work? I girlfriend's car has a couple dents that are the same size.

Yes that'll work to fix dents. My 69 Mach 1 had over 200 hail dents in it when I got it. To remove many of them my body man would heat the dent up with a little torch then quickly cool it. He told me on another car that I had with a few hail dents that I could cover it in a black tarp on hot summer day. Then remove the tarp and use dry ice on dents to pull them out. I didn't care that much so I never tried it but I'm sure it'll work after watching him remove them on the roof of my Mach.
