Making the Jeep all pretty....

After 3 years of New England rust, I went with Line X on the corners and rockers. Color matched at the corners, black at the rocker. I wish I had taken pics of the stuff when it came off and after the 10+ hours of wire wheeling, but in all the excitment I forgot. It's amazing what gets under there. I really did not want to go LineX due to touch ups, but I REALLY don't want to take that rust off again.

Here's the painted pics, after deleting rust...

Very nice! I guess I forgot you had a Jeep!
Do you have a page setup somewhere with more pics/specs?

Do you have to take any extra care with the color-matched line-x? I was thinking about getting my rockers done in color-matched.

It's a nuetral Line X base with a DuPont color matched coating over it. It's supposedly UV protected, but we'll see. I had LineX on Ranger 1, and it was SOLID stuff, so I'm expecting this stuff to be pretty good.
There is no special care needed also. It's smoother and glossier than the standard black LineX, but again it's actually just a coating over standard LineX.

when i went to get my liner sprayed, they have the color options and i was gonna go grey instead of black, they have red blue green etc but the guy said dont put any color in it because it shows scratches easier and fades a hell of a lot faster than the black

Ok. I've seen the color-matched before. I never knew how it worked. Sounds like it's up my alley.

Nice heep, erm I mean Jeep lol.

You can barely tell that there is LineX there.

Do you fab up your own flat fenders? It makes it look so much better.

In my garage....it's blocked by the A pillar anyway, plus VT police are a little more leniant/practical.

As for the flares, they are a combo of Rokmen corner guards with steel flares welded on. Fronts are custom width one offs from www.atozfabrication.com

The flares are 5.5" IIRC.
