I get a little bit better heat transfer out of it. When I'm stopped the fan pushes some nice hot air out.

this mod is insulting. Half of us powerdome guys wander outside and realize our hoods are a diff style of powerdome than Andy's.

I've been thinking of drilling holes. I think thats how all Goodmark hoods come.

obviously I'm digging this one up...Just did it today, except as it is right now I only made the hole as wide as the cross member that you need to cut, so its only in the middle. Also, I'm assuming you left that insulator out right?

Yeah I cut Scott's hood for him, I didn't really like it. Like Chris said its flimsy. You will also get rain on your motor when its just sitting in the rain.

its a fiberglass hood.. they are flimsy, dont sit on it. And i never had problems with water getting in.

I think I'll leave it the way i have it now then. It's not too flimsy since most of it is in tact (minus the cross member). But obv. i wont sit on it lol. I have to say though, I'm glad I did it just cutting the center of the hood cause one, you can't see it from the sides and two it keeps the engine quite a bit cooler.

And really, i could care less about the noise insulator, havn't noticed a difference without it.

was thinking of cutting out just a small part of the crossbrace in the middle, maybe like 6" or so
