which kinda of nerf bars (step rails) would you guys reccomend? I can't decide between chrome or black. give me some opinions or pics please. thanks

 

I think the chrome would look best with your XLT, because you already have chrome bumpers and grill. The black goes best with the Edge models, but I think chrome with the Edge looks somewhat odd.

 

Go with chrome. think of it this way, when they get all pitted and icky and stuff, you can sand them down and paint them, or have em Line-X'ed I have had mine for um, hmm.... well, since november of 04, u do the math, I have very mild pitting on the bottom of my bars. I got the 4 door bar, with the wide step. unfortunately, i have a 2dr truck, I think the wide step looks better, but its different mounting hardware for 2 door vs 4 door. lucky for me tho, my dealership sent me the right brackets for free.

 

i have a black edge so it will be black for me when i get them. but since you have chrome bumpers and such(as was said before), they wont look too bad on your truck. it all comes down to what you think you will like best
