new grille

i bought a aftermarket billet grille for my 03 ranger edge i was wondering has anyone done a install with a grille like this or happen to have a how to video. it tells me to cut stuff but im not really comfortable with that just yet but if i have to i will

(my bad, just re-read that)

I bought the same one off ebay and I tried installing it this weekend and it didnt seem to fit.
Dont know if I was doing it wrong or what..

at least im not the only on having trouble cause no where in the info did it say i had to cut anything now that i have it, it says cut here here and here and im pissed but theres always room for customizing which im thinking may need done with a heat gun and a dremel all things are possible

The only thing I "cut" were the tabs that hold the original grille to the grille assembly so I could take them apart..

I you figure it out, please post pics on how it mounts etc.

well the tabs that are up there on the orginal grille mine came off fine when i hit them with the back of a screwdriver, did u ever get urs installed

No the sun went down so I reassembled the front end and I havent had time to try since..

ok so i got time yesterday to get it done you will need to bend the brackets a little and heat them up prefer a heat gun(hair dryer was to slow) the grille factory may have to be notched a little to fit it i didnt do mine yet but it looks good like it is for now, the support for the bottom screws is plastic so be careful tranny cooler on the passenger side and drop the screws and use bolts..... hope it helps

Thanks. Did your header pannel have a plastic covering between it and the radiator?? I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take that off?

or are you talking about the factory grille like this like the plastic surrounding the grille part

take a pic and let me see if it is behind the factory grille othe than the grey one i show it is more than likely the first one i posted if so then you dont remove it just drill into carefully
