New new rear bumper but have side steps

My rear bumper is all destroyed so I need a new one, but all the ones for sale I see say "Styleside only" I have side steps on my bed Will the Style side bumper fit, and if now where can you find a bumper for a bed with side steps?

Nope, the Flareside bumper is shorter than the Styleside bumper. The only way to find a Flareside bumper is through wrecking yards or somebody parting out a Flareside truck on Marketplace. Try searching car-part.com in your area and you might get a few hits from local wrecking yards.

Thanks for the reply! That is so weird. Why are Styleside bumpers readily available all over the place for $200, but Flaresides are impossible to find?

Anyone know what the part number is, might help in the search.

Flaresides were discontinued after 2004, so the bumpers for them are unique to 1993-2004 trucks. Not a long time for production, and not very common. Just not a huge market for them even though 85% of them seem to be all bent up.

Part numbers according to my 2003 edition of the factory parts catalog:

YL5Z-17906-HA for Chrome Flareside
YL5Z-17906-KA for Painted Edge Flareside

The step pad is:
F47Z-17B807-CAY Platinum (Dark Gray) Color Flareside
F47Z-17B807-C Black Color Flareside

YL5Z decodes as a 2000 Ranger Service Part, so there is probably an older number that has been superseded. Based on how Ford creates their part numbers, F37Z or F47Z is probably how the part number started for the 1993 Ranger Flaresides, so the part number would be something like F37Z-17906-???. The part may have been updated over the years as well, so there may be multiple part numbers associated with this specific part all the way up to 4L5Z for a 2004.

Keep in mind that Ford does not stamp part numbers on their parts. The number stamped on the part itself is an engineering number, and it differs from the actual part number.
