Fender Flares Fitting FX4 Level II

Hey all,

Im new here, so Ill start with a little introduction. Im a younger guy from Illinois and I drive an 03 FX4 LII 4.0 AT. I love the truck, however my fender flares are fading bad. Ive tried those "back to black" products and none of them actually work so im looking for new flares. Specifically, I would like to get Bushwacker pocket style flares, however all of their flares say they will not fit the FX4 LII trim. The body doesn't seem to be different so i am wondering with this is? Has anyone installed any Bushwacker flares on an FX4 LII? I have access to a body shop to do any fab required but I am just wondering why Bushwacker says they will not fit? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

body panels are all exactly the same. Have you thought of painting the flares? There are some good trim paints out there.

yeah i have considered painting them, but i really just like the look of the Bushwacker pocket style fender flares. So they should fit then? Im guessing the reason they say they wont fit is because of different sized holes already drilled in the panel maybe?

Honestly I am not seeing any reason why they wouldnt fit. Doubt its because it the holes as the bushwacker flares dont even use the stock holes.

If the stock abs plastic fender flares are badly faded use a heat gun to bring them back looking new. There are a ton of youtube videos that show exactly what to do.

My friend did it with his Avalanche sides.
