New Paint Scheme.. opinions please

i've been looking over my truck lately, and noticed that i have many many scratches here and there, mainly along the bottom half of my truck. the front bumper is really knicked up good from small rocks, and stuff like that, etc. (just about every road around me seems to be under construction, so, my paint has taken a beating).

anyways, ive been considering getting the truck repainted. then i was thinking of doing something a bit better/different. i really like the paint job on the ford harleys. i was thinking of having the same paint job done to my truck. it would solve the paint on the bottom half of my truck (nothing on the upper half is wrong with it). what's everyone's opinion's on the paint job?? do you like it?? i was really interested in the orange that they use, but im afraid someone might think i was trying to build a harley edition of my own (which im not, i just like the color, lol). if i were to use another color besides the orange, what do you think would look good?? remember, i'd keep the top half black. i really like the orange, but was thinking maybe silver as an alternative?? i dunno, what do you guys think?? im like 90% sure that i wont get any paint job done, lol, but, there's always the thought in my head, so i figured id get your opinions! thanks guys.

here's a pic of a 2005 harley edition. it has the paint job i like. i'd keep my grill and surround black, just like it is on this truck here.

wow thats really weird that you said those two colors! i tried the blue, but in the ps job i did, it didnt look right (of course in real life it would look beter than anything i'd ever be able to recreate). and i was really into the gunmetal, but figured just a shade of dark silver might look just as good, i'd like to make sure to keep that definition between the two colors.

i like the harley scheme, but you should also consider some rims too...the harleys have chrome rims. I'm thinkin 18's with AT tires, maybe Nitto Terra Grapplers. 20's don't have enough rubber for you if you like to mud alot.

These are sport tires but the off-road tires will give you a higher side wall

I spotted this one after the Richmond Hill meet we had earlier this year...

I'm seriously considering painting the top half of my truck black (like the pic here) where the indentation separates the top half from the bottom and putting the flame that's on the Black Harley F-250 to separate the two colors....

I say screw the 04 HD Superduty scheme.

You've got a black truck, so go the 05 HD Superduty Scheme.

Black truck with Red Flames.......

My Dads 05----

Too bad you can really see the flames, but you get the idea.

rims would be on my list of to-do's if i were to get the truck painted. id prefer maybe 17s with an agressive a/t tire that look like they belong on a 4x4 (but can handle everday driving), but, realistically, i'd want to stay with 16s so i dont have to buy new tires, lol. ive been responding here and there on RPS about different rims for sale.. all were 16s though(i think). i guess the only way i'd change the size would be if i got a set of tires too.. but then thats all more money, etc, etc..

justin, is that the K-Swiss symbol in the last pic? lol. but yeah, that silver/black with the red pin stripe would look nice.

and mark, damn! that is a really nice looking truck. i think the harley editions are my favorite. i like the flames, and the ghost look to them, but, they wouldnt work for me. my whole reasoning was to paint the lower half of my truck so all of the scratches would be fixed, lol. they look good though!

how big would the flames be?? it definately sounds like it would look awesome. if not flames, maybe some sort of simple jagged lines, like a long narrow tribal pattern or something like that. only problem i see would be if something happened to the flames, it would probably be a few bucks to fix if anything ever happened to them. i would love to have something that good though!

i just noticed your wheel post zach!

do you have a pic of the wheels?? the tires would definately be appropriate for a 4x4.

yeah i did the nerf bars at the last second for the hell of it.. i dont think they'd look too bad actually, lol. the only reason i'd keep them all black is to match the all black front safari bar, unless i get rid of that

that looks awsome, but i wouldnt bother with the nerf bars if they are pricey

some type of pinstriping would look nice to seperate the colors, like a dark silverish or offwhitish one.
