Oh noz another Headlight Mod Thread!

Well I got my headlights from ChevySlayer925 on Monday. Taped them off and had to wait until today to paint them. Well its suppose to rain all day here so I managed to get myself up when the g/f left for work (6:15am) and paint them. Thankfully I got up because it started to rain at 8am. Here are the pics waiting for them to dry. I'll get more after I get the tape off.

This is also my first time using Krylon Fusion paint and I have to say that it is some very nice paint. Dries quick and easy to work with.

I did not tape off the blinker area. When I had my 98 I had the black corners which had the black blinkers. I figured sence I haven't seen anyone else try it I would. If they are too dark or don't light up right then I will take them off and try again. We will have to wait and see.

Looks good. I used the same paint and it holding up great. I was happy to find out how quick the paint dries, so I could do them all at once instead of waiting a while between coats. That's interesting how you painted the blinker, how does it look on the truck? And is the blinker still fairly visible?

Should do fine. When I had my 96 gt mustang I got black projectors and it came with black non relective corners and did just fine.

Idk yet. I just got done sealing them up. Hope I used enough sealant. I tried not to put too much because I didn't want it squeezing to the inside of the light. They looked sealed all the way around and some sealant came out of the sides.

Im pretty sure they will work fine. When I had my 98XLT I had the black corners and the blinkers were black. I never got in trouble with them.

Here is a pic of them before I started to seal them up. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get a pic of them on the truck. Its calling for the weather to be crappy all weekend but hopefully they will be wrong so I can get them on the truck.

That looks cool with the signals painted. It would look really good if you got those 'chrome' turn signal bulbs that light up amber.

The stock bulbs are not staying in there for too long. Hopefully some LEDs are getting put in there.

It looks like the weather is going to hold off so I may get to put them in today. I have to drive some rescued dogs today. So if I have some time between the 2 trips i'll try and get them in then. If not they will go on this evening as long as its not raining.

Not yet. I just got home and got the stock headlights out. As soon as I swap the adjusters and get them in I promise I'll post pics.

I edited the first post and added the pics of the headlight installed. They look so much better than the stockers.

Looks real good Cody. You going to do anything with the corners? Maybe do the mod to a set of '06's?

Yep. As soon as the funds allow I want to mod a set of 06 corners.
