I'm confused here. I know the 02 FX4's are the same as the 03+ Level II's but technically your 02 is not a Level II. If there was no option for Level II in 2002 then it's just recognized as a regular FX4. BTW I say go black if you plan on line-x anything.

or u could say it is basically a level II technically too!!! all in how u look at it yes its a FX4 but then again its all the same stuff as a level II minus the interior stuff

 

The fact is you're wrong, though they are the same you still don't have a level II. And btw I have an '02 Fx4.

color matched red WILL fad, my friend has his bed done in red on his bagged show truck... so the most that was ever carried in the bed was coolers and folding chairs, that minimal use and exposure to the sun, it fadded a bit.

ordered my 06 flares today then when those go on i am going 2 get black line-x sprayed on the rockers then i also have a set of trail gear sliders on the way i cant wait 2 see how its gonna turn out!!!!! :)

I say go black. I love the 2 tones on the 06+ FX4's. Did you get the flares ordered?

 

yes i got the flares ordered and they were in stock. I went with black because thats a good amt. of money to put into something that you just arent sure about. Id hate for the red to look pinkish and be off colored. I know the black will look good because a buddy got it done on his.

I also love the 06+ FX4 2 tones. I think it will look good!!!!!!

 

Did you ask if they could spray a sample of the color matched red? Maybe spay a 1'x1' square in the bed or on a piece of plywood?

Regardless, I say black. Its an offroad truck, there is no reason to be fancy plus black is easier to repair if you rip it up on the trail.

itll be a week or 2 before i get pics up. im waiting on the flares to come in then as soon as i decide how thats gonna look and get them on its going to get sprayed then the sliders are going on. I will post pics as soon as its done
