Original WAAG bar
#76
So, anyone who has the cash in March gets a bar? "10" is just the minimum number before they consider the order, right? I'd love one, I like the simplicity and strength of the design, and am seriously considering joining the group purchase.
*EDIT* I saw a post I overlooked answering my question (duh). I'm going to do my best to scrape up the cash.

here's my little brothers truck with my old waag on it...
ok...so now i see the lil bro posted in this thread. lol.
SO....i'll contribute something...The Waag Sportster Bar will fit ALL 98+ trucks. Some require minor trimming of the valence for the lower arms. I am unsure about the 'knuckle' style towhooks on Fx4's. I dont see why it wouldn't work.

We will send it to Irma at Waag. Price will be the same as it is now. Robin over at G-E oversaw the previous group buys and i've been talking with him about this whole thing. He was the one that suggested the March deadline b/c this will probably be the LAST run on this bar. Gotta make sure that everyone that wants one do their best to get in on it.

Well the thing is getting the people to warrant a run. Looks like alot are trying to get in on this order. Another thing is these are being built from scratch and may say they wont do it. Robin also told me that Irma said brush guards are not their strong point and 75% of their income is being from powder coating. I'm not saying it will be last run but is highly possible.

Far as I know nothing has been said that it will definitely be last ones. I was gonna buy 2 anyways just in case something happened to one.

If we won't need dough until the end of March then I'd definitely like to get one. I think they look pretty cool and I'd like to have one hanging around just in case. How does the payment work exactly? I've never been part of a group buy before so do we paypal the money or email credit card info or...?

How it will go is like this: During that week we will send our payments to Irma either by check or money order. That choice is up to you. It's exactly 2 months away now and I hope the interest is still high for it. Last time I checked we had bout 15 people very interested in it. This is tax season so i'm helping this will help everyone out to get one that wants one. I will be sure to update if anything changes and when the time nears will post all specifics.
EDIT: Is there anyone that already has this on with a 3" BL ? If so i'd like to know what brackets were fabricated to do it. Reason being I thought bout throwing a BL on mine but hesitant b/c I really want this bar.

Based on the brackets that go onto the frame, i doubt you could use much for a BL. You'd have to do whole new brackets to attach to the frame...maybe use the original bracket that the bar bolts to.

That makes 2 of us! Now we just need 7 more confirmed.
Gotcha....may take it to a metal shop and see if they would be able to do anything. If I get a SL, I may not even fool with a BL.

No, no, no. Double lifted FTW!!!
Although, those would be some weird mounts without a doubt for a BL truck...i wouldn't want to make them, lol.

I'm very interested too. What size lights are fittable on it? Shuldnt be a money problem for me if I get the income tax or not.

I just walked into WAAG's office today and talked to Irma.
I told her that myself and justin (old black cat) would be purchasing them.
She said we can send in payment at any time.
I'm not sure, but I believe you can get it powdercoated in different colors also, they have alot of colors they use for other uses.
She's going to call me and keep me updated when more people send in the details.
On a side note, she's in her late 30's to mid 40's and HOT!

That's fine just let me tally up a rough estimate of people so we can let her know how many to expect. I've been mainly communicating through Robin over at G-E and he had told me Irma said once they hit 10 they start making but didn't say for how long they would make them. I would guess not long or they would still be in production ya know.
