You might be better off getting an Edge valance and paint it to match your truck because it has a smooth finish.I had my lower valance painted to match and I didn't like it because it was textured and never looked right.I know my 2000 lower valance is more textured than your 2002 XLT lower but I think you would run into the same problem.I know it isn't red or the correct year but here is a pic anyway.

Thanks but it is no longer on there,I went back to the original gray.It always looked darker than the rest of the truck and not much gloss to it.It also started peeling off in places so I did away with it.I wanted a front end that would be durable because I am on the highway alot. Now I just have the front of the hood to worry about as far as paint goes because I put a chrome grille back in it also.I know it looks like a stock Ranger front end but I like it.

Thanx Gay-Briel and MRC for the pics, it actually did help out a bit. But will the paint chip off the textured valance? could i sand the s@*^ outta it and make it work?

never liked the mismatched painted grille and chrome bumper on 98-00 but with a painted valance it really sets it off..
