Painting Front and Rear Bumper

I want to get that Chrome off my truck but its the entire bumper. I was wondering how I would prep&paint it. Thanks

For it to be done right, the chrome needs to be chemically stripped from the steel and then the steel can be painted as normal. From what I've heard this process is very expensive. It would probably be cheaper to buy someone else's already painted bumpers, then sand them down to bare metal and paint them.

Of course, you could pain the chrome as is, but it wouldn't turn out very well.

i would get a da with 100 grit sand paper and sand it off then primer a light sanding then a couple coats of paint then wet sand then a couple coats of clear coat

Post a "Want To Trade" ad in the classifieds section and see if there's anybody that would want to trade you. I'm sure you could find somebody to trade you.

def the cheapest way to go, especially if you can find someone with your truck color. Personally, I prefer the chrome, I love the shininess!!!
