Powerdome hood question-01 vs 05?

I'm looking at getting a clear Lund Interceptor bugshield for my 05 FX4. I found one online for 01-03 Ranger with the Powerdome hood with Lund part #18197. Lund lists a different part number for my 05 hood, which is the same as the 01-03-right? Did Ford make any changes between these years?

You have to get a 04+ bugshield. Here's a comparison from 01-03 vs 04+....notice how the 04+ is notched for the grille....

They both are blue. haha. lol. My truck is on the left, and Cory's truck is on the right. He's a member, his name is like cory07ranger4x4 or somehting like that. Both trucks have 32x11.50s and both have KC slimlites. Mine had 1" bodylift, his is stock.

the 2005 dome isn't as high as the 2001 either......not that that matters for the deflector.

Cranked bars on both trucks. Both trucks running 32x11.50r15 BFG M/Ts. Truck on left has 1" body lift. Truck on right is stock. No rub on either truck. We have a ton of threads regarding fitting 32x11.50s......just crank them bars and they'll fit with no rub.

Did you loose any MPG by going to the taller tires? I was thinking about adding some 265/75/16 or even 285/75/16 to drop my crusing RPM down some. I'm turning 2500 RPM at 70 with the factory 4:10's.

When I went with 32s my mileage didn't change at all. I can still get 20mpg with my 32s and 4.10s

I can get nearly 22 MPG when traveling 55 MPH on my route to work (country roads/almost no stop signs). However, when I drive it on the interstate-70-75 MPH, it drops to 19-19.5 MPG because it's running at 2500 RPM.

The front is lower than the back stock. You can get a chevy drop shackle or a add-a-leaf if you want to lift the rear.

No need to lift the rear....it's already got like a 2" rake. Just crank the front and your good to go. Both trucks rears are stock......stock K rated leafs and stock 2" block.
