Ranger Emblems

i just got done cleaning my truck today. washing, waxing, detailing it. I got to thinking about something and wanted to run it by you guys to see what you thought. I was thinking of taking my Ranger emblems off all together. They wouldn't be in the way when I waxed the truck. Some of the black paint around the emblems is coming off anyway. Just wanted to know what you guys thought about the idea.

Well I had a 93 5.0 mustang everybody told me there was hole where the emblems were. Well one day after it had been sitting for a few years. I went out to pull the emblems off and found out that they were just stuck on with adhesion tape or something.

Have you actually pulled the emblems off and you know this for a fact or you just going by what someone has told you. BTW this is a 02 Ranger if a 93 Mustang had double sided sticky tape on it why would they change to putting holes on an 02 sounds to me like it would cost more to drill holes than to use 2 sided sticky tape

OK thanks thats what I wanted to know. If it was actually a fact or going by hear say. I'm not doubting you Trent or Jeff I just thought I would be most cost efficient if Ford just used 2 sided sticky tape instead of drilling hole to put the emblems on. But what the hell do I know....lol

the holes are for alignment pins so the emblems are always on straight

Its actually more cost effective to have an operator with 1 drill bit doing the holes Or having them machined when the fender/tailgate is being built :-)

Yea....leave the alignment holes.....that way it'd match my lack of fender flares, when the truck came with them!

Yes. I am 110% sure that the 98-current hole are exactly the same. '97 and old, i am unsure.
