I happen to have a 1994 Ford ranger and a 2000 Ford Explorer with the 5.0 that will be going into the ranger, anyway I was wondering if anyone knows what year model Explorer & Ranger hoods are interchangeable? I’m going to try and put the Explorer hood on my Ranger soon and I’ll post an update wether it works or not. The only modification I think is needed is to remove the latch that is attached to the Explorers hood. It seems that the Explorer and ranger both have the same hole in the hood for the 94’ style latch. Have not measured anything yet so I’ll hope for the best xD also I just wanted to make this post for anyone else looking for this info, because I searched and couldn’t seem to find anything clear and helpful anywhere. No, they are not, in any year

Ebay is your friend on things like this, just look at Ranger, or Explorer, hoods for sale, it will tell you what years and models it fits, and there are no crossovers

People have done the whole front end conversion, google: explorer front end on a ranger

Even though I’ll take your word for it, my hard headed *** is still going to try it just to see how close it is. Thanks again!
