Recon third brake light

I really want to get one but it says from 99-03 rangers, was there a change in the brake light in 2004, or will it fit my 2006.

I want one, but I don't care who you are or what justification you can serve, $109 for a brake light is too damn much! The value of the materials used to fabricate that thing is less than $10!!!

Here's an interesting observation:

If you're trying to look back into the bed of the truck, you won't be able to see anything with the dome light on.

Wire the white portions on a micro switch and have them light seperately of the dome light.

If you're haulin stuff, those cargo lamps are nice because you're able to see what has shifted! Then again.. i also have lights mounted in the bedsides.. I wired mine up to come on when I open the doors or press unlock on the keyfob, MUCH better than them just coming on by flipping the dimmer switch up IMO.

It is a pretty expensive third brake light...but I've changed that bulb on the 97 multiple times. I think it adds a nice finishing touch to the truck and looks pretty trick. But $70 shipped isnt too bad if I could find it on Ebay.

For those of you that have them, did you get the clear lens or the smoked lens?

The reason I bought and wired the cargo light was because it will go on when I unlock it with my remote.
