I have a 98 stepside and the bottom of my pass door is rusted on the inside and my front pass fender has some surface rust what is everybodys input on where to get parts?

 

if the hole is not all the way through just us some spray foam instalation if works great and covers teh hole perfectly. dont use to much couse if the rust is soft it will puss it right out and u dont wan thtat

Expanding foam to cover rust?? Now that I'd like to see.



For the surface rust on the fender and the inner door lip, sand it down (grind wheel, or wire wheel), prime, paint, clear. For the fender, you could paint the whole thing to blend it better. Just depends if it's a daily driver, or something you want to look good.

 

I agree agree with rolldogg. I know some people that have tried some odd things to stop/prevent/cure rust. but that's new to me. out of curiousidy do you have some pic of this? I'm not saying it won't work. It just sounded strange.

 

well its a daily driver right now but after this summer it will sit for the winter but i will take some pics of it and let you guys take a look
