Single-piece projector lamps 01-08

I searched on here and couldn't find anything, but just wondering if anyone's tried them out. I know some stuff on ebay is trash and some is ok, just trying to figure out if these are garbage.

They come in black too.

I know somebody had a set on here not too long ago that they were getting rid of. They wanted like $200 or something like that.

So if I were to get these headlights I would need to buy two HID kits? One for brights (reflector) and one for normal lights (projector)?

you probly wanna stick with just HIDs for the lows and some silverstar ultras for the highbeams because from what i've hear, HIDs shouldnt be flashed on then off liek you do with ur high beams. someone correct me if im wrong cuz im not totally sure.

I'm leaning more towards these. 01-08 FORD RANGER BLACK HEADLIGHTS WITH CCFL HALO LED:eBay Motors (item 310145747798 end time Sep-27-09 20:21:57 PDT)

I think the projector ones have too much going on and just look kind of tacky.

I dont see why not?

we just put in some HID recognition lights on our airplane (ok, not automotive, but the parts were IDENTICAL 35W ballasts and all, the bulbs were the same too). Anyway, these lights alternate off and on at any frequency you choose between 30 per minute and 120 a minute.

Again, not an automtive application, but theyre the same thing and work fine while flashing on and off...

I bought my LED tails from "zomk speed". They're based in LA, so I figured if I had any problems I was within yelling distance. I think they're some of the nicest lights i've seen (based on construction compared to other aftermarket lighting options). I'd trust them... Hope that helps a little

as for the HID question, flashing of the bulbs is not THAT big of an issue, but because of the pure physics of the bulb it will probably reduce life-span. There is no filament in an HID bulb, but rather an open lead that ignites the gas instead of just burning in it. That's why they're so bright, and that's why they have a warm up period. I'd go for it. If you're looking for a good HID kit, I'd recommend the ones for sale by the ebay seller "HID gate". I have purchased 6 kits from him so far (2 for my cars, 4 for my friends cars) and love every one of them...
