I just sold my hard tanneau cover, looking to get a soft one. I took the other one off twice a week and it is very hard to do by your self, now I want a soft one for the gas mileage increase. Anyone here have one? What make and what do you like/dislike about it. I see many on ebay and i have idea which one to get. I know some have snaps and others haved that long lip thing, also how hard ot install it? THanks

 

simple install... just clamp the rails to the bed...

id recommend the folding one just because its easy to use...

comes off in sec. un pop those gas shocks.. lift up at a 45deg angle and pull off... i have never touched the snaps on this thing since the day i bought it...

 

I have the snapless Full Tilt...never removed the cover either. It get's the job done for me :)

Ive been planning on getting one like this for a while now, maybe this summer

 

i just have a plain snap on tonneau and i cant believe i cant find any pictures of it on my yellow truck so here is a picture of it on my old 92... its the exact same one just kinda worn out

 

well since I load up my dirt bikes to go riding at least once a week, plus I don't want to need to keep enough space available for the top when I do go riding or load something. I have seen the factory ford ones and I don't like how they bulge upwards in the center since those cross sections are arched. Anyone having problems with the snaps? I don't mind drilling to install either, just looking for MPG increases and if it cost more than 200 bucks it will be a while before I get the benefit of having it on. THanks

I have the lund Genesis tri fold tonneau cover, i love it! in the winter i do not have to worry about it shrinking and not snapping back on, easy to install, clamps in the back.

I have a truxedo with the velcro straps. Love it, can't complain. Rolls up easy and closes back up in a second. Had it for a year now, velcro is still strong and it looks like new when I wash it.

 

i am thinking of getting one also instead of a toolbox... if u have an over the rail style boxliner does it need to be replaced by an under the rail style boxliner first?

I also have the access roll up. Very nice cover but cost around 400. The customer service is very good also. I broke a part on it loading a flat into my truck and they replaced it free of charge no questions asked!

 

Mine is an Access, second one I've had 12 years on two rangers. They never wear out.

I got a snap on one, bought it from the dealer when i bought my truck, they installed it, but since then ive taken it off and put it back on. Very simple to do.
Just IMO dont get snaps. There just a PITA to snap on and off all the time, esp if you just need it off for a quick load or something.

 

Looks like I have the same one John did. I love it. Gives the bed a nice look when it's empty and rolls up in no time. If you need more room.

 

my extang came off today and is in the garage and wont be going on for a long time

 

i have the access cover aswell. very nice looking, easy to roll up and lifetime warranty. best thing i have bought for my truck.

 

i hate my snap cover... its fallin apart and startin to look like sh*t... i just dont have over 500 to shell out for a locking cover
