Tail light cover fasteners

Finally got a replacement tail light cover and installed it. Fits and looks great, but one of the 4 screws that hold it in place had corroded and snapped in 2 when I went to turn it. Another one is in bad shape, but was able to get it out intact. Now i need to replace the one and think it prudent to replace the other, as well. Is there a source for new fasteners to fit this? Thanks.

Just this past week I purchased new body-side tail lamp screws. One of mine was lost and replaced with a rusted unit previously. Just head to your local Ace Hardware or True Value or even Home Depot with a screw pulled from your truck and match it up. They're just normal sheet metal screws with phillips button heads. I went stainless and painted the heads black. I believe they were #8 x 1 1/4".

I cannot give any advice for the tailgate-side screws other than they too are basic sheet metal screws.

Yup, probably a #8 1" or so screw for the outside ones.
Stainless is the way to go... for a couple bucks you'll never have to worry about them rusting again.

The "inside" screws may be a #10 screw, definitely has coarser threads for the plastic & a larger flat head. A stainless sheet metal screw & stainless washer should work just fine.
