All OEM taillights are interchangable. However, a fleetside bed has more space behind the taillight than the fiberglass stepside bed does. The vast majority of aftermarket taillights will NOT fit a stepside, unless you take a dremel to the inside of the pocket (no one will see it, but its your truck if you screw it up) to clear way for the different taillights.

Depends on the manufacturer of the aftermarket tail light. My old CF ones fit in my stepside no prob. The blub plugs turned in and fit in the tight space with no clearence issues. My new black ones are a different story. I had to turn the plugs past the lock point so that they wouldn't get hung up behind there. Definatly no cutting or dremel tool......but I guess everyone is different.

Long story short 93-04 are all the same shape.....just different placement of the reverse hole.

well i put stock 98 tails on my 93 step side now i know the bed is the same but i had to cut the stopper on the turn signal socket that lets the socket stop when its tight to rotate it more so it didnt hit the bed side idk if this is always a problem...
