I had an electric Pop and Lock on my truck, worked great and was easy to install.

There are different types. You can get the kind that has a key lock in the handle. You can also get a power tailgate lock with an electric actuator that works with the factory power door locks. I have had the second kind for about 3 years without problems. It is more complicated to install but more convenient than using a key, IMO.

...and now I have the same exact lock It works great and I highly recommend the electric one, at least if you have power locks. Makes life so much easier.
