Pop & Lock Power Tailgate Lock wiring

Does anyone know what wires/wire colours to connect the Pop & Lock wires to on a 06+ Ranger, and where they are located? The instructions say to go into the passenger kick panel, but there is a fuse box there that is way different than the How-To I found on here.

My 98 was exactly like the instructions but they must have changed it. Maybe you can trace the wires coming from the flex-tube out of the door. I would suspect that the wires are the same, just buried under things a little more.

2006: Passenger door lock wires are pink/black and pink/orange.
2007~2008: Colors changed to white/violet and grey/violet

You can find the wires in the subharness that goes out to the passenger door through the accordion boot. The polarity is reversed on the two wires for lock and unlock, so you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right the first time.

Caution #1: the first color is the main wire color and the second is the thin stripe. There could be wires with the reverse color codes (violet/white vs. white/violet, for example) in the harness and they definitely have different functions.

Caution #2: If you find two of the same color codes listed above, the thicker one is the door lock/unlock wire.

Thanks alot guys, I posted this and then left it an hour or so. I came back and had no replies so I went back out, pulled the door panel off and figured it out. I came back in just before crimping on the new wires and rwenzing's post pretty much made me sure I had the right ones.
Anyways, it's all hooked up now and works great!
