Valance is KIA, skidplate a must!

Since my valance is FUBARed, I'm looking at getting a skidplate/lightbar set-up in place of it. It is similar to project "Range Runner". I am looking to use 11/4" tubing and a piece of 1/4" aluminum. All it is going to take is 4 pieces of tubing for the skidplate and 1 piece for the light bar. I measured and it will take 3 35" pieces and 1 24" piece, then ever how big the light bar will be. I will be getting the materials. He told me that it would take about 5 hrs @ $55 per hr. I don't have the equipment or the space to do it myself and all of you guys that do this kind of thing aren't anywhere close to me. So, is this sound about right or a little steep just to weld it together?

HEh, does he really think it's gonna take 5 hours to weld it all togethor? If you do all the prep, it shouldnt take him nearly that long at all.

wont take 5hrs to weld, but what about bending and notching the tubing? that stuff takes time also. fitting the joints, preppin for welding, etc.
for reference, i put about 6hrs in each of the rear bumpers i built and 13hrs in my front bumper.
