Do you have a cap? I'd like to have one, but only if my cap was protecting it from the rain

wouldn't have thought the plastic line be that hard to remove. Just lift in the middle where it meets the tailgate and it would flex and pull out.... but too little too late, you got it now. rug looks good though.

My bedliner will suck if I take it out, the bolts that hold the cargo handles are stripped

Looks good! I wonder how those carpet liners hold up if you get any water under it? Is it easy to pull out and clean under it?

the carpet folds under the bed rails
the front part of the carpet should be caulked to the front part of the box to prevent any water getting underneath it.

yes they are easy to pull out to clean underneath it

i forgot ?

if you plan to on removing to plastic bedliner and replace it with a carpet

use some FLUID FILM spray to coat the exposed metal to prevent rust
( the plastic over time rubs off the paint and primer )

Bed rugs only work with a cap or tonneau. I've see them in open bed trucks and after 6 months, they look like crap because of rain, snow, etc...
