Hey everyone-

I just ordered my next ranger. It is a supercab 2wd with 4.0 and 3.55 LS axle. Should be a sweet little XLT. They are doing a limited run of Grabber Orange, so I thought it would stand out.

My dilemna is that we have a 4x4 in orange already on the lot and it looks like a county works truck. So- Should I have a tuxedo tu-tone done or fat racing stripes painted or what. I am open to all suggestions as I have 6-8 weeks to figure it out. Please throw out some ideas of paint schemes, colors, etc.

anything looks good EXCEPT the altoid box look. id go with the orange and stand out.

Well, I am one of the managers at a Ford Dealer, so my cost is ALOT less than sticker but a 4dr Supercab 2wd with a 4.0l and Automatic XLT base prices at 18700 or so. I added privacy glass, pioneer sound system, sport bucket leather seats, pw, pdl, trailer tow, etc. Basically everything you can order on one. It came out to around 23600 give or take a few hundred.

I handle alot of the aftermarket for our store, so I wanted to have a few things we sell alot of on it, like a spray in liner, autostart, etc. But I also wanted to show that we do custom paint and bodywork too.

 

racing stripes, or have the power dome painted... I guess black would look good on the orange

 

23600 is a great deal on a 2wd ranger?

Someone please tell me that's wrong....?

 

^^^Fully loaded XLT sounds about right...

 

Fully loaded 4x4's are now in the $27-28K range. They are very expensive, but they usually have decent rebates on them.

 

As far as the great deal goes, my cost should be in the neighborhood of $18K

 

If you are going with an Orange truck, i wouldn't add any black paint to it..

Silver or white on the rocker panels would look good, but the best paint as far as looks/price (IMO) would be getting the hood/tailgate painted. I would go with white or silver on those as well.

after looking at these I have to agree with Mark, white looks great! My vote would be rocker stripes with a white power dome.

 

Exactly my thoughts, when mine is painted i am going to do the hood/tailgate and rocker stripes.

 

We have some roush 427 TracPaks and 428R's in stock right now and I thought that the stripe they have on the side with something on the hood would cool. Go to www.roushperf.com (cause I don't know how to post the fancy pics yet!)

 

I think either a silver or a pearl white would look cool. Then put a nice pinstripe around it and it would look sweet. I'm not a fan of black stripes on that color. It looks out of place.
