when doing a 2001 front conversion on a 99...

when doing a 2001 edge front conversion on a 99 xlt 4x4. do you have to change out the bumper and side brackets?

no you dont have to change the bumper, but why not go all or not? i did mine in stages and it worked until i got the right one

i meant are the bumper brackets different from 99 to 2001? sorry, my part on the confusion..

yah they are way different! so you're gonna need some different ones, they set me back 'bout 70 bucks but the reinforcement brackets are the same (they are boomerang shaped)

ive put 2001+ bumpers on a 99 before, they fit fine

hmm well i thought the 99 brackets would work fine also.. but the guy doing the paintwork at the body shop is saying im going to have to buy new. 36 bucks a piece for the right and left
