haha yeah i've seen some shady make-shift trailers here. I've thought about getting a small one before but don't have the extra space(quads,3 cars, the 14' enclosed and a 21' toyhauler lol)

theres a guy in town that makes some really nice single axle open trailers with electric brakes and diamond plate side for $800 out of his shop just on the side

you could get a sportrac bed extender. you might even be able to fit ramps under the atv.

Get some bolt in D ring hooks for tie down points. Put them on the floor of the bed and you have a good point for tie downs. I haul my 4x4 Suzuki Eiger with the tail gate down and use the factory tie down points in the bed. So far so good. If you are really concerned about loosing it, get the D rings though.

haha yeah with the long swing arm trying to close the gate is out of the question with the toolbox. when i threw my streetbike in the back of my truck I had the gate pulled up against the rear tire from the sides of the brackets on the tailgate itself and the other ends of the straps to the front tie down points in the bed. Now i know why you're worried about it haha

lol, why not just buy a small trailer... and you will be able to have your tool box nd the quad on trailer, way easier to unload on a trailer 2

Once again I'm not getting ANOTHER trailer lol. When I go to the funes its usually with the toyhauler and 4 quads(and the fullsize)

My ranger is the everyday run out to the trails rig. Even a small trailer is WAY out of the question in the spots I go ride.

At least you have a fleetside bed, I have a TRX450 and a stepside but I made this to put the quad in mine.
Winch is for when I am lazy, Truck has a three inch body and suspension lift need ten foot ramps to load the quad. Have about 1/2" clearance between the bed rails and the back tires.
They'res a bunch of pictures in my profile of it with the quad in the truck and the rack taken apart for storage behind the front seats.

Where I go trailers don't make it. Besides it gives me plenty of room underneath to store all my gear and refreshments and 10 extra gallons of gas. Material was only 150 and the wench was on sale at HF for 49.00 so less then 250 when you figure in wire and gas for the welder, the whole thing is tig welded and it rides pretty good considering, I have taken it out through some pretty rough terrain and a few big hill climbs to get to a couple places we ride with no problems.
Besides I got no more room to store another trailer, Have a 16ft travel trailer I tow sometimes when we go out and I think pulling doubles would be to much of a hassle with a ranger.

Looks good, I sure wish people would read the entire thread, kind of mental to go over it 8 times. I like the decks for fullsize trucks to haul 2 sleds or 2 quads.

Geeeeeez I forgot about this thread lol.

Issue was solved- bought one of the "slim" kobalt boxes. Front tires still sit in front of the wheel wells and the angle of the box ends allow me to still get at the tie downs. With my bed extender I'm good to go meow!
