2 Sets of Sliders completed and Installed

Evan came down yesterday and we got busy making sliders. I already had a design of sorts and had all the metal. Contacted my bender and bent the outside pieces.

I think I welded for like hours after hours. lol

Here are the pics, we will probably brace some more later and clean a few things up later but after 2 days or work we are whipped.

I could have made them a bit longer but that was a design flaw.

Valance is off for other projects.

You should take a picture head on with the valance off just to show off your suspension setup!

They look fantastic, Zach! Nice fabbing! Functional and attractive -- not everyone makes the extra effort and achieves both like that.

now make some for non-BL peeps!

edit: curious....I'm no engineer, but why only the 1 support? I seem to recall most pre-fab sliders commercially available have 3 supports.

my guess: those center supports just hold the top bar and adding more wouldnt make the bottom bar any more sturdy. Just extra weight..

how's getting into the truck? do they make it any harder hopping in since there's now an additional bar to hop over as you get in?
