2000 ranger 351 oil pan clearance problems

i was wondering if anyone has come across any issues with the oil pan hitting the power steering rack in their 2wd. ???
the oil pan hits the rack and holds the engine off the mounts by about an 1/8 inch. i cant dent the oil pan due to the oil pump is inside the front sump.. i am using a a canton oil pan with dual sump. any suggestions??

Not to send you on a goose chase but this site deals mostly in the 5.0's you may have better luck with your question over on ranger powersports they do more of the street truck builds (i.e. 2wd). I believe they even have a thread that I've seen once or twice with tips and tricks on how to fit those motors into a ranger. may be worth a read to check them out.

you're going to have to run a rear sump pan. Most pans are meant for a car so they have a front or room for both because of the lack of suspension/axle a truck has.

can you just mod the mounts on either side to add a little more space?

It's a dead site that no longer exists. This thread is from 2014 when that site was still breathing (barely).
