94 Powerdome hood Idea

I like the looks of the 'powerdome' hoods, But no one really makes one like the one I'm thinking.

I was thinking of doing something similar to to what this guy did,
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2607331

But I was thinking of cutting along the creases in the hood

Then do what that guy did, and welding in the side pieces, I would only want it like an inch higher, But I think it might look good. I'm not sure how it would come out for sure. I need to do a good photoshop to see what it would look like.

Do you guys get what I'm trying to explain?

Of course, Im not gonna go cut my hood up, but maybe if I ever get a hold of a spare one.

You can't weld a powerdome, they are fiberglass but its a cool idea.

I get what you're saying, I thinks its a good idea. I've been tossing it around myself. But do me one favor, if you do it, please please taper the sides so that they don't go straight up and down. If they're straight it just looks too fake and bad aftermarket IMO.

If you would rather save your self some time and hassle here are some cowl hoods like you are looking for that fit your truck. They have cowls that go from 2 and 3/4 raised decks, to a 9 inch lifted deck!

Cowl Hoods 1

Cowl Hoods 2

I know, but my hood is metal, I should be able to weld that, Im not talking about cutting a fiberglass powerdome off and putting it on mine, if thats what you mean.

Im not adding one onto it, I would be cutting into the hood, bending it up, then welding in the sides of the cowl part.
