Ok so i a noob when it come to cutting thing when it comes to fiberglass and metal ...im thinking about cutting a cupple things on the truck..first im cutting on the outside of the bed.....what do i need to make a clean cut and not mess up the paint??? also the bumber same thing.

 

tape off the area you plan to cut and cut out a smaller shape than your finished shape.
like this:



use the difference between the ruff hole and the finished hole to trim to desired shape and clean up the lines. the tape is suppose to keep the edges from chipping and protect the paint some what.

I would go with something alot more powerful, like an angle grinder with a cuttoff wheel to rough cut it. Then use the dremel to clean everything up. You will save alot of time.

 

yeah times not a issue with me when it comes to the truck...i just want it to look good and i dont want to f up the paint....if the dermel will have a nice cut but will take time then so be it

 

If yopu are going to use the dremel, then go buy about 100 little cut-off wheels, lol

have to change the ball joints too so i think this will be a good investment

 

Go for it, nothing wrong with air tools. Remember you get what you pay for though, but it may do the trick.

ok here is my exhaust set up now...i hate it...im thinking about moving the hitch up to the bumber....might add some lights in the bumber not sure yet....heres the pic

Those tips look good. I was going to get those the first time I had my exhaust done, but the guy who did my exhaust lied to me over the phone about the price. Definitely move the hitch up.

Yes, do dual tips on the side. I have no idea about the hitch, I've never done it.

it is the exact one that i have at home and at work, i know they're cheap (but i have to buy my own tools at work so i buy throw-aways cause my good tools get stolen or break and no one wants to replace them) but they get the job done

go to harbor freight and grab one and a couple of different size wheels, and practice on some scrap metal till you get the hang of it and take the guard off cause you cant see the line with it on-not recommended (im not taking responsibility for injuries due to no guard, its very dangerous with out it, and it shows no mercy, again its very dangerous and will take your fingers right off -ive seen it happen, its not fun holding your buddys finger in a bag of ice)

 

imo, a rotozip would work as well. high rpms for better results. are you cutting a straight line or more of a curvy cut?

I second the HF air cut off wheel, cheap and will do what you want it too.

I have that Kobalt impace and rachet kit and its great. Did my body lift with it and I use it to change tires and stuff. No complaints here
