got the bender, now the fun!

So earlier this week I picked up a ProTools 105 HD bender like my other thread mentioned. Now today I put it to good use

Dudeeee that looks awesome. Noob question is that a hydraulic bender or do you do it by hand?

by hand, its really not that hard to bend even though its 1.75 OD and .120" wall

Thats what I thought, it didn't see a ram on it or anything. So is the bumper done? No hitch or anything on it. Your not going to plate it are you?

no plate, no hitch, its not done its getting cleaned up sanded, primer, paint, etc...

**** man. Glad to see someone is up and bending. I'm hopefully have mine up and running in a month or so.... but the bumper looks good so far.

Very nice bumper, how about making me one


I found this bumper online and thought the little pulled out area would be kind cool and give you a nice step, not sure if you like it tho but I figured I'd show you anyway.

not bad, but i dont want a step, its just inviting for someone to get your truck.

oh yeah for the most part, need to get my shackle mount stick welded on and then it is done contruction wise

If it does get hard to bend, get a big tube and use it as a longer handle. In high school we bent some crazy stuff in our shop. We used a 15' pipe and 3 guys.

I wonder how a roll pan would look behind a tube bumper, it would keep the bodylines too instead of having that square edge. If I ever do one I think Id put a roll pan behind it.
