How do you make a front skid plate?

How do you make a front skid plate?

Does anybody have a list of steps? Like what to bend, how to bend it ect...

Any street sign and some bolts, just miter a hole for your oil plug or something. My buddy made one for his Mk3 jetta out of a stop sign, it was pretty sweet

There is no how to because theres a vast amount of differences between all of them. How they mount, how they are styled, and the like.

Get a piece of plate, cut it to the shape you need, bend it where need be, weld on some tabs so you can bolt it to the frame and front cross member.....etc. That's a very bland how to. lol.

I prefer the 1/4 route, or 3/16 plate....and of course grade 8 hardware. I prefer bolt on.

just an idea.. 100% Bolt-on.. use cardboard to get the shape..
