Icon6 Mounted my Winch.

Well I have had a SuperWinch LP8500 sitting around for a while and we finally got around to mounting it up. My dad is cutting out a new skid plate with his plasma cutter at work, so I should have it on tonight along with the fairlead that I got from "seed60". The towhooks are either off of an '04 F150 or a SuperDuty, I don't remember what I took them off of. Here are a few pictures of how it sits:

Thanks. Yeah they are probably the ones off of my mom's 150.

Thanks man. We tucked it in there as far as possible. lol I wasn't really going for the whole "hey look at me, I have a winch!" thing. It will look better when I get the skidplate on I'm sure.

Looks good man. I like it. Those hooks are definitely off a F-150. The superdutys have really thick hooks.

Here are a few taken while I was respooling the cable. I pulled on it pretty hard up the side of a boat ramp and everything did well. There was very little if any flex in the plate from the fairlead while winching at an angle. If it does give me a problem, I will re mount the fairlead more vertical somehow.

The plate is 1/4" plate aluminum. Sorry my truck is really dusty.

A little late but nice job.
As stated nice to see the winch stuck inside the frame as far as possible.
How did you do the winch mount, did you use an after market plate ?
How is the Roller Fairing making out mounted at that angle ?
Have you run into any problems sliding over rocks ?

Again, Nice work, best Pre-runner/Winch Bumper design I have seen.

Thanks.
The winch is mounted to a Warn winchplate that we cut up to fit. It is flipped 90* so the little "W" is pointing down. So far so so good though, I was wondering how bad it would try and sheer off the bolts, but they are grade 8s.

The fairlead hasn't posed a problem yet. Even winching hard at some pretty extreme angles it hasn't bent the plate it is mounted to.

Not yet, but I haven't been in any big rocks since I finished it.

Thanks, again. I like not having it stick out like a sore thumb.
