I think the bottom bar should be recessed about 3-4" from the second as to follow the body a bit more.

Got two pair of 3/4" bolts on the outside of each mounting bracket on the hitch. I was going to integrate the hitch into the bumper but I would have lost the spare tire carrier. I wish I would have gotten some shots of the material. That pipe has 5/16" side walls. It actually wieghs about twice as much as the stock bumper. The brackets were made of 3/8" plate steel, it's over twice as thick as the frame material lol. I overkilled it a bit, but I should never have a problem with it.

There are no body lines near the bumper. It starts at the exact same height as the stock bumper came in under the tailgate and it sits perfectly flush with the bottom of the flareside panels. I also made the gaps the same as the tailgate side gaps. If it wasn't so meaty it'd look like it came from the factory. I didn't get a good pic of that though. Like I said, I'll get more pics in the morning. I was lucky to get the final shot before the sun went down.

That's what I was waiting to hear! lol. Glad I reconfigured your design well. I got the Andy stamp of approval. *Woo Hoo*

Thanks for the idea btw! I'm still kinda down that I couldn't integrate the hitch but it actually worked out making the brackets attach to the hitch. And I can still limp home on the 245 stocker spare if I have to. It would have sucked putting that thing in the bed(along with my toolchest), I would've had no room in the bed.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I worked hard on this sucker.

ps. I used one nice coat of self-etching primer and about four/five nice coats of Duplicote BedLiner Spray to match the rest of the truck. I freakin already chipped it putting it on before it was fully cured...oh well. It's not a show truck.

I was gonna get some plate steel to make it look like one big a$$ panel but the thing is overkilled enough. I'm getting used to the three pipe design now. I know what you mean Andy, I'm so use to drooling over it on your truck. I think your's looks cooler but I'll hook up to ya anyday!

two of the bolts that hold by license plates are stainless steel with LEDS built into them that are made to light up the plate. I'll take some pics when is it's done.

Just bought this from summit...

I'm gonna have it brushed, not a fan of chrome or polished aluminum. Can't wait til it gets here =].

Thanks for the idea Zach! I prolly should have waited for the other auction to end but I'm going out partying for my bday tomorrow. No telling where I'll be this time tomorrow lol.
