Camodown and Trepaul86 have some great ones.

I mounted mine in the stock holes, but drilled them out to hold bigger bolts

what did you figure out. Any ideas yet

I made this one today. It's kinda like the factory one. I wasn't trying to make it pretty or anything, just something to try and learn on. It's a little too low but that'll be an easy fix. It's 12gauge like the factory one.

Elan that looks alot like mine! But thinner!
Here's mine: Attachment 153400 Attachment 153401 Attachment 153402 Attachment 153403 Attachment 153404 Attachment 153405 Attachment 153406 Attachment 153407 Attachment 153408 Attachment 153409 Sorry for the pic whorage, but I want to give you the best options for the project! It's all 3/8in plate, overkill yes, but it's beefy and functional. I too used the factory holes that every 4wd truck comes with. I know they all come with t-case skid holes, but not all trucks came with factory front skid holes (like mine). |
mm pretty :fing26:
you should send it down here for a proper test where it'll get slammed around on some un-forgiving granite!! instead of scraping those pesky mondo speed bumps The toob one is cool, but a plate one, or plate covered would provide a TON more protection, i see a point on a rock going between the tube into the thin tcase shell. |
that looks good trevor. thanks for the pics. i have a good idea of how im going to build it. ill probably be working on it either friday night or saturday. ill be sure to post up pics when im done
|
i want to build one like camodowns, if i remember right it covers most of the under side of the truck
|
yo does that taurus have rims? lol
|
That's how we roll here in OR dude lol
|
I bought an OEM one for $36 last year from parts.com, however Trevor's is badass, I would definitely go with something like that. A lot beefier than the one I have.
|
|
I should really make a beefier one, but I'm broke broke.. trying to align my priorities before katemcy.

The OEM ones are decent, mines held up, kinda. everytime i take it off, i have to run it over to flatten it back out to get it on. now its slanted back hah
|
haha
if you look at it from the passenger side it looks like this /__/ or the driver side looks like \__\ |
