Tool to remove pickup bed torx style bolt head
I am trying to lift the bed on my 2007 Ranger Super Cab. There are 6 bolts holding it down. I have been told it is a special torx bit, a #57. Could someone verify this and where can I purchase one.
Thanks;

Its a T55, torx 55
Looks like this: https://asset.conrad.com/media10/isa...0_FB/image.jpg
Most autoparts stores sell them as just the one or a set, it fits a regular socket wrench
These bolts can be rusted so spray them with penetrating oil a few days before trying to loosen them
If you can get it in 1/2 inch drive do it, if 3/8 drive only then thats fine

As RonD suggested spray the underside of the bolts, the clip nuts on the frame, at least a few days ahead of time if not more and spray them more than one.
Seems like a PITA but in the end you will appreciate RonD suggestion.
Get ready for some clean up, get rid of as much of the collected dirt and debris as possible, get behind the gas take area too.
I found when I removed my bed for the first time, that the 1/2" drive works the best (maybe a Impact Wrench Torx Bit) and in fact, the bolts still jammed up and I needed to cut the heads off of two of them, then after the bed was removed I used large vice grips to move the remaining bolt, not fun but it got done.
AND if any of the bolt threads look galled, replace them and the nuts, I ordered a new set of bolts before I even took the bed off and replaced all of them and used a Anti-Seize on the threads when it went back together.
Just thinking out loud.

Just removed mine. T55. Spray with penetrant spray the night before and let soak. A small torch is your friend. Heat them up right before you attempt to break them loose for a good minute or two. Also make sure you buy a new bed mounting kit to replace the old rusted stuff. I only had one snap on me and it was closer to the bottom so wasn't bad to get off.

I ended up replacing the bolts and clips with 3/4 threaded rod and nuts; one 3 foot rod, 12 nuts and some washers ended up being cheaper(and stronger) then a new set of hardware. The holes in the frame are already large enough for 3/4. Size comparison in the picture(didn't have any rod left over).
