INTAKE MODIFICATION ON BD 98 RANGER

It looks like you have a cast aluminum intake manifold, short of making up a new from scratch manifold I am not sure I would attempt to modify the OE manifold for this project.
If your determined to do this project you may want to consider going with a different year intake and fuel delivery system.

It may inspire a change that may work for your needs, I do not know if the information you need is here or not but if I was in your shoes this is where I would start my research.

BTW if you feel you have to cut and modify your intake and you need to do it cheap which will leave you with needing to weld your modified cast aluminum intake back together I would use Alumaloy.

However I would suggest going to a salvage yard and pick up a used intake for cheap and modify the used one.
