Anyone watch "Trucks" today on Spike TV?

Stacey's one cool dude...while i was at sema, he was beside copperhead in the gm perf booth. and he and i seriously bs'd/talked for a good 45mins about trucks. lol....more specifically the chevy, as i'm building one myself.
Trucks HAS NOT been the same ever since he left. All these new guys do is copy stacey's builds.......that 60-66 chevy = copperhead. das bronco = project big blaze. I've been watching that show since day one 10 years ago(when it was TWO hosts, not just stacey), shadetree mechanic, popular hot rodding, all this before the 'powerblock'. I'll admit it...i watch all those type of shows....even trucks still. It's a good watch. But i do have to say....thank god they dumped that wrestler guy off trucks, and that loud darker guy on muscle car.
Knightmare...you are partially correct....partially. If tnn/spike wouldn't let him build/fab all his own stuff anymore.....then why is muscle car on? why is xtreme 4x4 on? those are non-bolt on shows after all.... There hasn't been any published statements as to what happened between him and spike. Notice how all his major builds of his last few years of trucks...are HIS? A good majority of the equipment from trucks are his as well. Carried over to the gearz shop.

And,
I like Lou, he brought a new sense to TV charisma. Not the dull, boring, monotone or fake sounding impresssion I get with some of the other hosts. (like the kid on Trucks now, he sounds fakely over inergetic every time he talks)

Anybody seen the new show on Discovery called "Street Customs" ? I watched it for the first time last night. It's silimar to the Boyd show, but this one is following West Coast Customs' shop. Pretty decent show. DEFINATELY not as crappy is Pimp my ride. lol. They really build some sick rides. Take a look at their website at their 2dr 300C convertable and their 2dr charger that's painted like a ghost general lee...

It comes on thursday nights after american chopper on TLC. It's west coast customs. The real west coast customs. Not that pimp my ride crap but the real deal. They were just a dealer and had to change their name to gas or something. I don't even think that show even airs anymore. Stacey David's show Gearz is random but it usually airs on sat. mornings around 9:30 am EST. on Speed. It's a good show. They did one for Shaq about 2 weeks ago.

I know. It's just that the way they spoke you'd swear they were legit about being called West Coast customs. That might be why they aint on the air too. Who knows. Anything that GAS put out was pretty much a trailer queen after they got a hold of it.

I don't like it near as much as Unique Whips, but it's pretty decent. I dunno, I like the east coast custom style a lot more than west coast. I had a buddy who owned 5280 Autosport here in Denver before he went into a partnership and the partner was a douche and closed the shop after Byron left. They did a lot of east coast themes in their work, while still adding their personal touch to it. They had a killer 2006 Charger they built as their promo vehicle... I'll have to find a picture of it again. Big Memphis audio dealer too. Sad when they closed shop as they were great people to work with.

Cooter was a pretty cool dude and he became a huge fan of Mopar while doing the show. He had a chance to get a wrecked General Lee and jumped all over it. He still wishes that they made this body style of the charger. He lit up like a christmas tree when I informed him of the email my mom had gotton about Chrysler considering the 1969 body style for the 2009 Charger. This paticular car was a 1970 model back dated to 1969 but they were in the process of trying to locate the grille to finish the job. The 1969 had the "I" piece grille.

No kidding. I think the majority of members in here knew well before you. Myself Included. I grew up around these types of cars. That is my favorite car period. The photo of the one I posted aint a true R/T or a 1969. The reason is because the R/T had the 440 in it instead of the 383 and also the grille is not the "I" piece grille.

I noticed that...'68. The car could be a true R/T, w/o the original engine. A buddy of mine has a '66 Chevelle SS and another has a '67 Chevelle SS.....both small blocks....and neither of those came off the assembly line with a small block....rather 396's. I'm just saying it's a possibility.
